There are so many people who look for consumer ratings before they buy a product. Why not get an unbiased consumer view before you purchase?
Makes sense doesn't it? And for this reason there are people who look for consumer ratings on skin care products so that they can find the consumer rated best facial moisturizer.
And that's a good approach isn't it?
But lets have a think about this. Skin care products are extremely difficult to rate. Why? Well for a number of reasons.
If you're rating a childs toy for example, it can be simple. Does it work as it should? Is it good value for the price? Does the child play with it and enjoy it and does it take a beating without breaking. There's a few simple things that you could take into account when rating a toy.
But how about rating skin care products like facial moisturizers? Not so easy. Because the result you get may be entirely different from the result that someone else gets from the same product.
The reason is simple. Rating something like that is too subjective. You may see an improvement, someone else may not, from the exact same product.
So I really don't trust consumer ratings of skin care products and I have never seen a site where you can get a large database of consumer ratings of skin care products that are reliable anyway.
Rather I prefer to rely on a different approach. Try the products yourself and if you don't think they are working for you then get your money back.
You can't be serious. Has anyone tried getting their money back from a skin care company and succeeded? Good luck but go ahead and try if you want.
Not likely.
On the other hand I believe that any company that markets any product should believe so firmly in the effectiveness of their product that they are happy to offer a money back guarantee to anyone who doesn't like it.
And it's nice to be able to tell you that the company that makes what I think are the worlds best skin care products IS so proud of their products that they offer a money back guarantee.
So you can try their products and get your money back if you don't like them.
That's demonstrating your confidence in your product, and they rarely give money back because they are rarely asked.
So it's quite possible to try the products entirely risk free, and see how well they work for you.
And you may be looking for a moisturizer, but they don't sell one. Because if you use their skincare products then you won't need one, because their skin care products moisturize so well you won't need one.
So if you're looking to find the consumer rated best facial moisturizer then I have that suggestion for you. It's too hard to rely on consumer ratings. Just try the best products, risk free and see how they work for you, both generally and as a moisturizer.
